I really appreciated the tone and message of this post, and your quote from Micah was delightful.

Having come from a place of strict interpretation of a static message of the gospel to a living, breathing one, it does my heart good to see synthesizers like yourself and so many on this synchroblog struggle with the issues from an ever larger perspective.

Hi Kathy, no your post was very clear and I hope you know I was not trying to post links to opposing views to be argumentative. The first one from BCMW I thought you just might like to read as it answered the Palin question in a different way. Then when you explained your view, I ran across Piper’s video. To be honest, he was the first person I have heard say he opposed a woman VP. I did not even realize anyone of significance still held that view.

liz, thanks for your thoughts here! i am definitely egalitarian & have seen up close and personal what happens when women are set free to lead in all kinds of ways that have nothing to do with only ministry. i am glad that God is stirring up all kinds of passion for this issue and am so glad you contributed this perspective to the synchroblog! peace on the journey, kathy
